I was thinking about what else I could do with the sculptures when the idea of impaling the jack-o'-lantern with the sword occurred to me. I selected both and extended and filled in various parts. I then used masks, shading and drop shadows to insert the sword into the pumpkin and out through the eye. The expression on the jack-o'-lantern somehow fit just right. The overall look is from a composite layer with poster edges applied and its opacity reduced.
