During an early attempt to select the Santa ornament, I realized that portions of the beard resembled streamers, so I selected them instead and used them in this New Year's image. I duplicated and changed the size of the streamers several times, then used gradients to color them and added drop shadows. The champagne bottle and glass are modified Photo Objects. The stars are a brush. The table surface is a slate fill transformed with the perspective tool. The font is Freehand.
