The reds and oranges in the sign and neon reminded me of the fall color we've been having here in Chicago. I used blur, smudge and pixelation to transform the sign into a tree, then added some shading to give the trunk depth. The text was placed 'behind' the tree with a mask and a drop shadow. The font is Haettenschweiler.
