I spotted the mailbox near the pay phone and started thinking about the US Post Office logo that is visible on the side. I decided it was in need of a little updating, so I selected the eagle and raised it, adding some perspective, a bevel layer style and a shadow to give it some depth. I created a feather with the pen tool, added a gradient and some hash strokes and then used it to make rows of feathers along the neck. An outer glow layer style and a blue stroke around the eagle finished that segment. I applied an asphalt fill as an overlay to the blue background and the reticulation filter to a gray layer to complete the background.
